Newly 19-year-old Miranda Cosgrove has been announced as a national ambassador for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Miranda’s grandmother has suffered from cancer, so the cause is very important to the “iCarly” star. She appears in a new public service announcement for the charity to promote this year’s Light The Night Walks, a campaign to encourage the public to participate in evening strolls to raise awareness of the illness.

Miranda said, “I will walk for my grandmother in hopes of a healthy recovery. I will walk for my fans – those teens who have battled leukemia – the most common cancer in teens my age. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is making it possible for blood cancer patients of all ages to live longer, better lives.”

It was a get together on the set of ?iCarly? in Burbank, CA this afternoon as the cast aided the exhibits star, Miranda Cosgrove, celebrate her 19th birthday. The teen stars like Jennette McCurdy, Nathan Kress and Jerry Tainor kept it a casual affair as they split a massive cake and posed for images with the birthday lady on the Nickelodeon Studios set.

In other news, the hit tv show has been renewed for its seventh season despite rumors that it would be cancelled due to other castmates obtaining their very own show deals. Although the brunette beauty plans to go to college in the fall, she also will remain portion of the Nick family even though also ready to investigate new roles, saying, ?Its challenging to discover one thing thats a little bit edgy but that every person can nevertheless observe. Drake Bell is one busy guy — but not too busy that he would miss the 2012 Kids Choice Awards. JJJ caught up with the 25-year-old actor on the orange carpet to see who he really wanted to get slimed, and working A Fairly Odd Christmas with Daniella Monet.

“I think Miranda [Cosgrove is in for a slime],” Drake dished. “I think she is in for a slime. Her time is up, it’s been long enough, I am ready to see my little sister slimed.”

Drake added about his newest project, “We are up in Vancouver shooting a movie for Nickelodeon – a sequel to The Fairly Odd Parents that we did last year; Fairly Odd Christmas. We are up there in the frozen tundra freezing cold, up in Canada – that’s where I was this morning I just came down for the day – thank goodness it’s all sunny now. I was like I need a weekend away from this freezing cold and I came here and it was raining this morning and I was like come on! So finally the sun is out, I am excited.”

And that’s not all he’s got going on — “[Ultimate] Spider-Man comes out tomorrow on Disney XD, and I’m the voice of Spider Man and Rags which is another movie staring Max Schneider and Keke Palmer that will be airing in May, so that’s coming up.”

Among the stars joining in on the orange carpet affair, Miranda Cosgrove brought her cuteness to Nickelodeon's 25th Annual Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles, California.

Held at USC's Galen Center, the 18-year-old actress charmed her way inside the venue before joining alongside Robert Downey Jr to help present one of the ceremony's awards.  Always a fan favorite, Miss Cosgrove was also among the esteemed nominees - though she ended up losing out on Favorite TV Actress to Selena Gomez while her show "iCarly" was edged out by "Victorious". The 2012 KCAs were hosted by Will Smith while featuring performances by Katy Perry and One Direction.
